Cystic Disease of the Lung

Abstract
|
|
|
A report of four cases of the cystic disease of the lung which were treated surgically at Chon Ju Presbyterian Medical Center. All of the Cases were adult men who had respiratory symptoms and pulmonary lesions in the X-ray films of the chest.
1) The cyst which is combined with secondary infection, must be differentiated from chronic empyema and fibrothorax.
2) The lining cells of the cyst may be changed or lost due to infection and/or tension.
3) The surgical resection is mandatory for the cystic disease of the lung.
